Our Beginnings

In 1992, the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority (JEDA) created Carolina Capital Investment Corporation, Palmetto State Growth Fund’s predecessor, to promote job growth in our state. Our name and program services have changed over the years as market needs have changed.

Our Actions

Today, we invest in a diverse mix of loan and equity investments, all designed to broaden financial services availability in our state. Our initiatives are driven through partnerships with experienced financial companies. Our capital is often the “secret sauce” to making business financing available.

Our Differentiators

Our close ties with JEDA give us unique insight into our state’s business climate. Many of our investment opportunities come through this relationship. We are governed by a five member board, two members being JEDA board members and three being independently elected. All are long-standing South Carolina businesspeople working to move our state forward.
